RSS Feeds & Republish Rights, Part 2

New here?  Be sure to subscribe to the RSS feed so you don't miss anything!

When I asked “Does an RSS Feed Imply Republish Rights?” I never thought I’d see as blatant a case as Spivot. (You’ll have to type www.spivot.com into your browser to get to their site, because there’s no way I’m giving them a link.)

They’re building a business on making it easy for people to find your content … and then read it on their site. In fact, you have to work hard to even find a link to your site with your content. They’re not running ads around your content right now, but is there any doubt that that’s next? If not, how do they actually plan on financing this venture?

BusinessLogs has already covered this at length, so I definitely suggest checking out their extensive write-up on Spivot. (I also recommend that you link the word “Spivot” to that post if you can so that it shows up as high as possible in searches for “Spivot.”)
