Eric Giguere has a great post today on “How to Support Your Favorite Bloggers.” It’s not something I’ve thought much about, but as a blogger, I can tell you that he’s dead on. Definitely worth a read.

that blog mentions “Don’t ignore the advertising”. It’s bad for all involved to click ads with no interest in the resulting content.

It’s only bad if the advertiser is paying on a per-click basis. Otherwise, any advertiser would love to have the chance to have you visit their site to learn more.
Note, too, that he was careful not to say “click the ads.” Not ignoring the advertising means actually taking the time to notice who’s advertising and what they’re advertising. It doesn’t mean “click their Google ads” — that’s definitely a very bad idea if you’re not actually interested.
