In the UK we have politicians who flip their homes so they can claim extra money from the taxpayer (that was where the word flipping came to mind)- On a serious note I have heard Kim Roach from Buzzblogger talk about a similar thing but she didn't refer to it as this. I think you could probably do a combination of the two, keep some blogs running and flip others, then perhaps you get the best of both worlds.
