Over the past 2.5 years, I’ve posted lots of different ideas for making $100/day. If you’ve been following me for long, though, you know they can be few and far apart. Because of that, I wanted to let you know about a new source for ideas that’s actually an old source.

Toby Clements has taken over Rick Latona’s Daily Domains Newsletter, and he’s doing a terrific job with it. It’s definitely worth signing up for. Every day you get a list of domains for sale — from just a few bucks to six figures or more.

Pair a good domain from Toby with my getting started guide, and you’ll be well on your way!

If you know what you’re doing, driving traffic to affiliate offers in the dating space pays huge. At the end of the day, though, you haven’t built any enterprise value; you have no equity to cash out. It’s strictly a short-term game.

So instead of driving traffic to other companies’ offers, drive traffic to your own site. White Label Dating makes it easy, and they’re just now moving into the U.S.

Way more potential here than $100/day.

Spending on snowboards decreased slightly, but was still a very strong $137M. That’s $321M, and we haven’t even factored in related expenses: boots, bindings, clothing, lift tickets, travel, hotels…

How easy would it be to make $100/day off a great content site focused on a particular aspect of the ski-conomy (boots, jackets, great backcountry areas, etc.)? There is an almost limitless source of content, AdSense would probably pay well, and there are plenty of affiliate revenue opportunities (ecommerce, travel, hotels, etc.).

If you like this vertical, it looks like a potential winner to me.

(Need help getting started with a content site? I wrote a fairly exhaustive guide.)

Here’s why everyone’s starting a Groupon clone:

It’s easy.

Users do much of your marketing for you.

It makes money.

Here’s how to do it.

Get a good domain name. There should be plenty of good .coms available to register since you can just add shopper, deals, dailydeals, coupons, or any number of modifiers to your locality (e.g. DailyDealsAtlanta.com).

Sign up with The Daily Deal to get your own white-label website.

Start selling Groupon-type services to the businesses around you. (Groupon’s already done the hard work of educating the market, so you get to do the easy part.)

Add coupon feeds to provide more value, more content and more revenue.

Profit.

Sure, maybe Google never offers to buy you for $6 Billion, but can you make $100/day? I think so. Just start slow and work your way up as you figure out what model works best for you and in your area.

Where’s there’s unhappiness and frustration, though, there’s usually opportunity.

Getting TV for free has never been easier or more satisfying — and it’s only going to get better. I live a good 40 minutes from downtown Atlanta, but I still get more than 30 channels with just an antenna and most of them are in HD. Plus, over the air (OTA) signals are often better quality than you’d get with cable or satellite. In other words, I get better TV for free, and most of the people in the U.S. can do the same thing.

If it was easy, though, I wouldn’t be writing this. Getting things set up is not for the feint of heart. That’s why there’s money to be made in showing people exactly how to do it.

Set up a site that shows people exactly what to buy and exactly how to set it up. If you can make it simple, they’ll follow your instructions (and use your affiliate links).

The great thing about this idea is that it has a) evergreen content, b) up-to-date content and c) plenty of high-dollar products to recommend. You’re going to be recommending solutions that require about $500 in products (based on the situation) and Amazon will pay out 7% once you’re referring about one person/day. Add in AdSense and another revenue channel or two, and you’re up to $100/day in no time.

Here are a couple of posts to get you started:

According to Urban Spoon, there are more than 40 non-chain eating establishments within a 2-mile radius of my house, and I can think of only one that has any clue about how to leverage social media. Many of them probably want to have a clue, but it’s hard enough just to have all the tools to run a successful restaurant — much less trying to master social media on top of all of that.

That’s where you come in.

You know social media. You love social media. You wish you could get paid for being on Twitter, Facebook and Foursquare all the time…and now you can.

As a social media consultant to one or more of your local restaurants, you manage their Twitter account, Facebook page, foursquare account, business center listings (Google, MSN, Yelp, etc.) and maybe even their website. In return, they pay you a flat monthly fee. Prove your worth, and you’ll have more business than you can handle from the businesses in your area.

This is a job, granted, but it is a tremendous way to learn not only how to leverage social media but also how business actually works in the real world. You won’t retire early from this, but it could easily lay the foundation for a business from which you could.

What about just adding some life to your domain name, though? Literally. Could you just add “Life” to the end of the domain name you want and suddenly have a great, memorable domain name?

Let’s say you wanted to do a site about NASCAR, for example. NASCARLife.com is just sitting there waiting to be registered. Prefer open-wheel racing? How about Formula1Life.com or OpenWheelLife.com?

Those domains are descriptive, memorable, and available — at least right now

This isn’t an online business idea, but it hit me today so I wanted to get it out there anyway. I know not all of you are like me — content to sit in front of a computer screen all day — so it may be useful for you.

Lots of guys get manicures — many more, obviously, than would admit it — and the ones who do totally swear by it. Those of us who don’t are always told, “Man, if you tried it, you’d like it.” Which is exactly the problem: I’m sure they’re right.

There’s such a stigma attached to walking into one of those places, though, and not the least of it are the names of the places. Here are some examples of actual nail places near me:

Foxy Nails

Golden Nail Salon

Solara Sol Nail Salon‎

Nails Mignon

VV Nails

Luxe Nail Spa

Just For You Nails

What guy is going to walk into a place like that with head held high? Not many.

What if there was a place that specialized in manicures, though? Sort of a Sport Clips, but for manicures and pedicures. There’s a nail place in every strip mall that goes up around here — 17 different places within a two-mile radius of my house. Surely someone could use a way to differentiate themselves.
