Easily the best superhero movie ever. I may change my mind later as I think about it, but right now nothing even comes close.

I loved just about everything about this movie. I don’t want to go into details because I don’t to spoil anything about it, but it was absolutely phenomenal. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

Great Things I’ve Read — April 13

For those of you who are new to the site this week, I keep a list in my sidebar of the great things I’ve read through Google Reader. They have a Share function that makes it easy to — well — share particularly interesting posts. I try to always put them in a post when I’ve built up 10 or so so that you RSS subscribers see them as well, but regular readers will tell you that I’m notoriously inconsistent. Witness this latest batch with 17 entries. Sorry about that.

Absolutely the Funniest Thing I’ve Seen in Years

Forget the NCAA tournament, the real March Madness is at The Name of the Year. The bracket has been announced and real-life names like Outerbridge Horsey, Babu Chalamala and Chief Kickingstallionsims are now vying for the 2007 NOTY crown.

I literally laughed until I was doubled over in pain with tears rolling down my face at some of these names. The names above are even the lower seeds. You absolutely have to see the favorites in this tournament.

My Fling with Paris Hilton

Two weeks ago, Paris Hilton joined my Unmatched Style community on MyBlogLog. I was very excited! I just knew it was only a matter of time before we were exchanging cellphone numbers, attending all the red carpet parties and getting our heads shaved just like Britney. Heck, I even went shopping for a little dog that weekend.

Alas, it wasn’t to be. Turns out “Paris” was none other than online marketer Paul Wolbers with the most creative MyBlogLog trick I’ve seen to date.

So sad. I hope I can get a refund on the dog.

The Other White Milk

This is my blog, so from time to time, you’ll have to put up with some off-topic stuff that I feel like posting for whatever reason. This is one of those times.

A lawyer for The National Pork Board (did you know there was such a thing?) has sent a nastygram to Jennifer over at The Lactivist complaining about her pro-breastfeeding shirts that read, “The Other White Milk.”

Now Jennifer says that it’s “certainly not the cleverest slogan [she's] come up with,” but I think it’s pretty darn funny. I’m also not certain that The National Pork Board is a bunch of pig-headed (like the pun?) guys with nothing better to do than bully little people. This smells more like corporate protectionism gone awry.

Either way, there’s certainly no harm in bringing attention to it. Just doing my part.
