Making Money Online in Atlanta?
If you live in the Atlanta area and make money online, I’m looking for you — for a couple of reasons.
First, to get a look at Examiner.com from the inside, I’ve joined them as the Internet Business Examiner in Atlanta. If you would like me to profile you and/or your business (and throw you some nice links), just let me know!
Second, I’ve put together an Atlanta networking group on LinkedIn. Talk to anyone who regularly attends conferences, and the one thing you’ll hear over and over is that the number one benefit is networking. The sessions can be great, but the further you get into this business, the less you learn from a standard presentation. What really moves your business forward by leaps and bounds is talking with other people.
I had forgotten that until recently. In fact, I told Chris that I hadn’t been to any conferences in the last few years because I hadn’t needed to network. Interestingly, Jonathan Volk called me out on that about the same time I was realizing it myself. I couldn’t believe how stale I had become from not being around others and sharing ideas.
As awesome as events like Elite Retreat and Think Tank are, though, it doesn’t make sense to ignore the everyday networking opportunities right in our backyard. By having a central place where we can connect with each other, it will be much easier to make that happen.

Hey Shane,
I hope you meet up with some good people in your area. I just retweeted your post.
I should probably try and do something more regularly here in Seattle especially since there is a pretty big online tech community.
I did a meet up a while ago through the Warrior Forum and got to meet some new people many of whom are beginners.

So only businesses located in Atlanta? Hmmm. I’ll see if there is an equivalent in Chicago/Naperville because it sounds like a good opportunity.
