I’ve been tagged by Shai over at Just Make Money Online to tell you “7 Things About Me That You Might Not Know.” Here goes!

1) My first foray into online business was an online computer store that I started with my good friend Bruce back in 2000. We ran it off a cable modem in my study, and we did over $1,000,000 in sales in our first full year of business. (A sale to NASA put us over the $1M mark on December 27, 2001. Yes, that NASA. That whole year was so surreal.) As another good friend told me later, though, if you’re giving stuff away, there will always be someone who will take it. Translation: it’s easy to sell stuff when you’re selling it so cheap, but you can’t stay in business for long when the margins are so low. He was right. We ended up closing our doors the very next spring.

2) I love House. LOVE it. Can’t get enough of it. It’s one of only two shows that I watch every week.

3) The Office is the other one. It’s great, too, but House is still in a totally different league for me.

4) I’m a graduate of The University of Alabama’s Business School and thus, not surprisingly, a big Crimson Tide fan.

5) I was actually an Auburn fan all my life, but got a bigger scholarship from Bama. My Dad: You can go to Bama, or you can go to Auburn and get a job to pay the difference. Me: Roll Tide!

6) I TiVo 120 Minutes on VH1 Classic so I can see old videos from some of the groups I listened to regularly in middle school and high school: The Cure (my favorite for years), Social Distortion, Depeche Mode, Sex Pistols, The Dead Milkmen, The Church, Violent Femmes, …

7) On Sundays you can find me at Lake Ridge Church. I’m always running around doing something, so stop by and see me!

And now, I tag some of my favorite bloggers: Ben Cook, Sadish, Jess, Kim, Small Potato, Mother Jones, & Thomas Sinfield.
