Running Out of Time

I love this post by PixelRN, and this thought from it in particular:

It’s like the childish “me” has always wanted to do something creative but then my childish side kind of ran out of time. So I grew up and found a profession.

It hit me yesterday that I always believed the same thing — that our lives are divided into childhood and adulthood. Once you cross over into adulthood, whatever you’re doing is pretty much what you’ll always be doing, in one form or another.

That’s only true if you make it true, though.

And then sometimes your “child” me actually finds something creative that you are good at (ex: writing) and then all that enthusiasm comes back! : )
