Many of them I met at conferences like <a href="http://www.askshane.org/tag/elite-retreat" rel="nofollow">Elite Retreat</a>, while others I met online -- both through this blog and by being active elsewhere on the Internet. That was probably the most surprising thing to me about being successful online -- how important <a href="http://www.askshane.org/daily-tips/lesson-1-the-importance-of-relationships.php" rel="nofollow">relationships</a> are. I thought if there was anywhere you could make it on your own it's the Internet, but I've come to realize that <a href="http://www.askshane.org/more-visitors/who-do-they-think-you-are.php" rel="nofollow">no one is successful without the help of others</a>. I know all these guys personally. Many of them I met at conferences like Elite Retreat, while others I met online — both through this blog and by being active elsewhere on the Internet.

That was probably the most surprising thing to me about being successful online — how important relationships are. I thought if there was anywhere you could make it on your own it’s the Internet, but I’ve come to realize that no one is successful without the help of others.
